    Okay, well I use adaware to remove spyware. I also use cw shredder for the pesky home page switchers. I have no virus protection or money either. Hence no virus protect. But anyways. The past 2 days Travel agency icons have been storming my desktop and my removal tools arent doing the job. Not to mention that as soon as I boot up my laptop farging pop up ads are every where. It doesnt matter where I go on the web. Even here, Pop ups pop ups pop ups. What can I do about this? It's getting to the point where I cant work on my laptop.
Thanks you guys, I really do appreciate it. :P

Spybot Search And Destroy. I don't know where you can get it, but I'm sure someone here will provide a link.

I would suggest adaware.
Do a search for adaware download and it'll give you options from Lavasoft.
As far as the pop up blocker . . . there was a thread about this just the other day . . . where did I put it.
Good luck!

have you updated your Adaware lately? Try updating and running it again. After that, go to Trend Micro's website and download a program called tsc.exe, as well as their latest virus pattern(you'll have to do the searching yourself). Put the files into a directory and run the tsc.exe program. It'll clean all virii you have on your system. If it doesn't, it'll tell you what wasn't removed and why.
Once you're positive you have a clean system, delete everything in your cache directories and cookies directories, then download the latest version of Mozilla's Firefox. Firefox has a popup blocker built right into the browser, and it works MUCH better than the "other" browser! If you're using Outlook Express, get rid of that too and get Mozilla's Thunderbird for reading email. Excellent layout and no worries of getting virus-infected email to automatically run on your system!
Just a few things to make your system almost virus proof!

get the google toolbar.
google toolbar = spyware.
Get XPsp2. It comes with the popup blocker integrated into the OS.
is it the same exact ads over and over again...if so, maybe you've inadvertently downloaded a pop-up program...check your add/remove programs list and see if there are any questionable programs installed, hth.

popswatter.com A free program that works very well. It does stop the message alert from this site.

Also you should check out AVG antivirus from Grisoft. Its free and seems to work fairly well as long as you keep it updated.

the google toolbar IS spyware, and its kinda junk anyways.
go to msn and get your free security update cd.
:)
http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/cd/order.asp
or you can download it here if your really in a hurry and have a fast connection
http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/default.asp
it includes a bastardized version of zone alarms firewall, which normally doesnt work worth a goddamn, but apparently when microsoft bought the license to use it, they tweaked it just enough to actually work with windoze.
theres also some "ez armor" antivirus, which seems to sorta work, lol.
not too bad for free though.

www.safer-networking.org Ad Aware
www.lavasoft.de Spybot S&D
Do not download these programs from anywhere else, there are a-lot of fakes that actually install more spyware/adware on your computer. You will need to use the update feature built into these programs, there are new updates every day. It helps to have both of these programs, they are both free. As a rule the free open source home computer software is generally better than the stuff you pay for. There was just more holes announced in every Norton security product just yesterday.
Also use a different browser like Mozilla www.mozilla.org it has had pop up blocking for years built in that works perfectly. It does not stop the pop ups you want to see like the PM ones on this site. Also many other cool features like tabbed browsing, and a download manager.
