I was just doing some research here and realized that I never signed up for the forums! Looks like I have really been missing out! I just wanted to say hi to everyone...
Hey Greg, Mike or Bob - maybe we can set up another mini-meet at the shop some time soon? LMK - I'm certainly up for one!

Wow, is that a good thing? :o
I dont really have an organized collection of pics but there are several floating around (I sent a bunch to Malloy to update my info on CS.com a while back). I really wish I could get them all together and take pics of all them at once and possibly document a little about each one - but I would need some help pulling that off
Some of my collection are other members old cars - Like my black '82 was from Dennis Lombardi up in Rhode Island, my red 6M '84 was Phil G's from NY, and my black '84 was Rob Boeck's from St. Louis... But this is one reason I try not to spend too much time on these forums... (I'm running out of room) :rotfl:

lol yeah I've seen various floating pics, but you should get them all organized, hehe. If I was in that area I'd help you, I love taking pics
Hope you stick around though, provide us with some insight on turboing and whatnot

I would actually need help just moving them all into one place!
Speaking of turbocharging... got 3 big projects in the works right now... :silenced: I'll have alot to update on them soon, but one is going to be a big HP MKIII, and the others are going to be boosted MKII's - done slightly differently
Trying to have everything done by June but waiting for parts is always the limiting factor. After all that, I have some changes instore for the 7M-GTE MKI and will hopefully have that fully ready for the Toronto meet this year.

Thanx. Yeah - I dont really get a chance to get on the different forums or list... barely have time to keep up w/ my e-mails (or more like I'm barely organized enough) :? But I couldnt help starting to read all the different post while looking for some info.... just cant get over how well this has turned out!
As for my GT's.... not a chance :P I have plans for each one... and besides, you wouldnt want them anyway - mine are all liftbacks. Actually thought about making a trip out to Seattle to pick up another '77 GT but logic got the better of me....

hmmm... just might try and do it this year then! Its quite a drive for me though - that would be some trip in the MKI... might have to wait till the next one when my hardtop '85tt is done... would be so much better on such a long ass trip. Either way - I really want to get to each one of the big meets that I havent made yet (vegas and texas) and beat up on some of the MKIIIs and MKIVs... :whip:

Thanx! I was/am on several list including the original SOGI List, Old Celica Club, NE List, Yahoo MKII list and 1JZ list, SF, etc. , but I wasnt mk2 spot... And though I built/ helped build my buddies black 7M-GTE MKII - it wasnt mine.... no body kit either though it was an "L"model converted to a "P" type :)

Going pretty good here - busy busy... How about you?
Yeah, this years Toronto Meet should be just incredible ! From just my shop alone, there should be atleast 4 GTE cars heading up... and I know of so many other pretty bad ass set ups underway that should be done in time - Cant wait!

Damon, Charles here with the silver 6M turbo from the MD meet last year. Glad you finally made it. I hope the MKI turbo is still kicking butt, break anything yet? Glad to hear all is well. Are you coming to the VA beach meet in June? The weekend of the 5th.

How's it going! Yeah , I kinda feel dumb for not signing up sooner but I am kinda slow (i guess I just try to compensate w/ my car lol).
MKI is still going but has a BHG and I havent had a chance to mess w/ it - problem is the shortblock has a big dip by #6 cyl and the keeps blowing out the stock HG after a bit. No big deal, I have another set up to throw in it anyway - and going to convert it to an auto while its apart... Then I wont have to worry about launching the car, and can just worry about aiming it. Oh, that and I have to throw another rear in it - something finally let go last time at the track...
I would love to make it to the Meet, but honestly dont know if I'll be able to... I wont have the MKI ready but I am trying to get a customers MKII ready in time - will gladly ride shotgun in this to the meet :evil2:

Yea, with all the Turbo's there, I will have to have the boost cranked up to keep up. Take care, and get that BHG issue resolved so you can lay the smack down on those mk3's!

Ya need another rear end you say?.. Come on down here and snatch it out of the '81 I have. It's really in a lot rougher shape than I originally wanted to mess with, so it's going to be parted. Heck,.. trade me something for the whole car!..lol I'm very flexible. :) I just need to keep my MKII wheels off it, so bring some wheels with ya! :P PM me if you're interested at all,.. trust me,. It'll be right in your price range. ;)

I have a whole other motor set up ready for the MKI - I just have to get a chance to put it all together (I'll be converting it to auto at the same time as well)... I have 3 pretty big customer projects that I need to finish first... then its time for mine. :( So, hopefully - having it completely ready for the Toronto meet is my realistic goal... that and having it in the 11's :evil2:

oh brother.... I just got rid of 3 cars  hmmm... Doesnt that have the Performance Package rear wing? If you are not in a rush, I am certainly interested. I have a few rears for it - just got get my but in gear and rebuild the LSD in the one I am using. I hope that switching the thing to auto will help make this the last one I have to do.

No problem man. :) The car that had the sport package wing on it is gone now due to a friendly fallout with the guy that sold it to me. After getting it home and seeing all the attention I was giving it, he decided it was worth more money. I don't play that. I'm going to miss it,. but it had to be done.
The other car I have is kinda rough, that's why I offered the rear. I've been looking for a nice MKI body since the other one had to go back to do some fun with,.. but nothing around here (SC) to brag about. You got rid of 3 cars?! Were they decent, or had you picked over them like a vulture in the desert?!. :P Anyway,.. if I can make it to Vegas or Toronto either one,. I'd love to see your stuff. Hopefully my 7M car will be done by then too.

That sucks... I recently just got rid of 3 MKIII turbos and yes, there was not much left at all... nothing I wanted anyway 8) I actually traded 2 of them in towards my latest MKII project car (I used to work at an all toyota parts yard and we worked out a great deal) - my new '85 SDR hardtop w/ black/ grey cloth!!! Been searching for that car forever! Next on the block is an '83 Celica GT...
No matter what, I will be at the Toronto meet - they are the best I have been to so far! You should try and make it! Are you doing a 7M-GTE MKII swap?

Hey Damon,
Glad to see you found us all here at the forums.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Toronto meet Aug 20-22. Not too much is new since you were last up here. My race car is running well and I'm looking forward to any ideas you have for improvements.
I sold my red 84 over the winter to make more room for visitors to park their Supras here. Last year we had about 10 Mk2's in my backyard on the Friday of the meet and cruised down to Niagara Falls together. Hoping we can do even better than that this year.
Keep in touch if you're coming up this way anytime soon.

I have some pics of everything here and there but nothing organized (no figure) - I did send Mike a bunch a while back for him to update the home page but I really would like to get them all out at once and get one big group photo... Maybe next mini meet we can get everyone to grab a car and take it out behind the shop and get some pics of them all together :crazyeye:

Very cool - I did see a few of them before but not all - sweet! I like the one towards the bottom - it has my MKI, looks like your MKII and a MKIII sitting below the tower!
The MKI will be there again this year - and I will be there for the drags at cayuga! I have a pile of parts ready for that thing - I'm planning by the meet to have it converted to auto, swap in a manual steering box, more suspension work, S/S lines, adjustable drag shocks for the rear, redo another rear, put the I/C in (finally  ), loose a little more weight, fuel pump, have it tuned and a few other little ... tricks... :evil2: I really am tired of having to baby it out of the hole - I really think that w/ it being an auto, I'll actually be able to utilize the great power to weight it has and actually make it a little less 'intense' to drive. I've had it up to 113mph last season but couldnt get any better et's than when it was going 108mph (12.8's)... I know I'm going to loose a little hp to the wheels w/ the auto - but I am expecting it to drop into the 11's next time out...

yeah that thing looks like crap... Its the first thing I noticed when I saw the pic! It was like that when I got it, I actually think they drove it up over a curb or 2... I should really fix that though, probably not very aerodynamic
