Hey you lot, we currently are setting up a workshop and small manufacturing bus. to make custom bits for cars such as the mk2,
things will include ....cold air boxes, intake pipes, plug valley covers, small window monsoons ( drip mouldings), full race body kits, bonnet scoops etc.....
if you have any ideas of what you would like to see made let us know, will be a couple of months before we start up so post away........
By the way we are in N.Z. but we will export to order.

Try taking one from another car. Most Maximas and Hondas with a sunroof have glass tops. I always thought the glass roof in my parents Maxima looked the right size and might fit.

I've already been to my local boneyards, the cars that have the glass moonroofs are parted out almost immediatly, just for the roof. which bites because I cannot always be on alert for the next moonroof that rollis into the junkyard
:(
I hate the yards down here

TomD informed us many moons ago that the glass sunroof in a late '80's Honda Prelude is the right size. Can't remember the exact years....Chris might remember.

I'll have to check my parents Maxima.

*sigh*
I just thought it may be a good idea to have one custom made to the mk2
I cannot get a hold of these vehicles as easily as you all can. I check my junkyard religiously, and never see anything of the sort here.

My 82 came with a glass Moonroof. It is hinged at the front and it tilts up. It looks like a factory install but I think it was done by the dealer before it was sold. The headliner fits around it perfectly but it looks smaller than a stock sunroof It also came with a FOHO rear spoiler. I think it was specially prepared by the dealer. It is very hot on sunny days. The glass has those little ceraminc bumps for shading and it also has black tint on top of that. But I still have to wear a cap on hot days or my forehead gets scorched  I dont know if you would be happy with glass down there in the sunshine state but I dont have AC so that may help(not much point for AC in a country with 5 warm months  ) Anyway HTH

86 - 87 Prelude, according to TomD. It's the 2nd Gen body. This is a example for those who need a reference....

OK i'll keep a look out for the Honda, but I still stand by my suggestion.
I saw an '85 Midnight blue P-type in Gloucester, Mass that had a glass moonroof and I fell in love. I wonder how much dealers charged for that option
dohc, I'm not very bright anyway. I don't have a/c, i have a black car, soon getting black on black leather interior. This car wouldn't be getting the glass even if I found it, I am going to meticulously care for the new seats.
hmm, other custom pieces; the plug valley covers I will definitly get. speaker pods, functional hood scoops, black outs for lights; I've seen various tail light/ turn signal black outs, but wow what a rarity item
