I know I haven't seen this before, and I hope this isn't a repost, but I found some documentation referring to the "Supra L". Recently I think it was being discussed whether or not there were actual L-type or P-type designations, or something to that effect, LOL

oh, I'm also confused about 1978, in this it states the 1st gen Supras came out in 1978, perhaps Japan? i always thought it was 1979

1st Gen MKI's/CelicaXX's did come in Japan first in the 1978 model year. We got them sometime in midyear of 1979. How do I know??? The US 79 Toyota Full Line Brochure does show the MKI yet.
