Hey everyone, Incase anybody was wondering where i was at over the last week i've been in Critical Condition at UT hospital. On mothers day I was riding my motorcycle and a tractor trailer pulled out in front of me. The truck driver pulled out in front of me, couldn't stop so i hit in the back 2 axles of the truck motorcycle jumped backwards i rolled forward under the truck and hit the axles again and rolled forward into the parking lot. The truck drivier drove off, but came back 10 mins later. He was going from one gas station to the other and had all 4 lanes of traffic blocked. The witnesses behind me said there was nothing i could do and that if i would have been on anything else it probly would have hurt me alot worse then it did.

I was in ICU from sunday to friday with a lacerated spleen. Luckily it healed itself and they didn't have to do surgery. Right now i'm at home, I have 5 broken ribs, My back hurts, alot of road rash, a large cut on the bottom of my left foot that no one knows how it got there lol. ANyway I'll post when i can, Hope to catch ya'll later.

omg...glad you're OK man, that must have been scary
:(
I really wish truck drivers were more responsible, they just seem like every other driver on the road, with a care free attitude...
Hope you get better soon!!!!

Yeah, just focus on getting better, you'll need the energy dealing with the company, and the insurance company, they're real pains in the arse. Oh, if possible, don't settle right away, let everything drag out a little bit, gives you more pain and suffering time. I found that out the hard way when I settled too fast and got next to nothing for an accident that will affect me every day for the rest of my life. Stupid bad back...

Glad to hear that you're OK. Seems like everyone that rides these days gets knocked off at one time or another. Mine was a lady making a left-hand turn and wiating until I got there...

Keep up the good attitude and don't forget the neck brace when you show up for the court date ;)

Glad to see you made it out relatively well, considering. Sounds like you should make a full recovery right?

Everytime I think of getting a bike something like this convinces me not to.

Good to see you post.

Yeah, I gave up my bike after only one season of doing too many superman impersonations with the bike wiping out from underneath me. Figured I'd give it up especailly after most of my friends told me to quit the "angel-makers"

But good to know that heaven doesn't need you right away!

Very sorry to hear about your accident. Sounds like you will have a full recovery, despite what sounds like a very dangerous accident. This is a great bunch of people, as I am sure you know. Take care.

(Mike, you got a Ducati 929 or something similar?)

William,my "if I have to explain" comment is about V-twins in general
Let's just say,my bikes were better chick magnets than ANY OTHER vehicle I owned.I think I still have a few knots in my head from the wife smacking me.....because some tramp  heard the bike, and VERY quickly turned around, thumb out, trying to get a ride, while she was on the back :P

I'll probably be going softail custom,or a wide glide.Partner of mine has a softail,96ci....going 108ci w/NOS next winter,if all goes as planned  because we can :!:
