Hey guys, does anyone know the length of a 1jzgte without the transmission being mounted onto it. i am going to be swapping one into my RA65 (82-85 celica gts) and i need to know if i direly need to move my radiator in front of the support or not... thanks guys, late

you would definately have to more the radiator cause with out 2JZ swap with the stock radiator in place and a set of electric cooling fans only gave us a 1 inch clearance .....
the RA65 chassis is 5 inches shorter than the MA67 chassis

well, at least its not gonna be an issue to do it. hopefully mounting it wont really be. to modify the firewall, do i cut it or do i hammer it back? lol. anyways, still need the dimensions for reference of anyone has em..gotta be without tranny though...

I measured approx 30" from the water pump pulley bolt to the metal vacuum pipe running behind the motor... my trans is attached already, sorry, but maybe this will give you some sort of idea?

sure does. the motor comes right up to the radiator lol. not an issue to move it to where the AC Condenser was though ^_^ thanks a bunch.

youre already going completely custom. you obviously have a heap of tools.. so on that note order up a 2 or 3 core rad, thats a lot shorter and maybe a little wider. make some endtanks. custom IC and endtanks there too. go for the gusto. v-mount. cooling capacity = bueno

thats not going completely custom, believe me. i do have a heap of tools and connections for custom fabrication when its needed. the radiator i can do with shorter, but i can to much with wider, not alot of space before i hit the headlight mounts, that is unless i cut into the crossbeam that the hood rests on and the the radiator in there. itll work out the way im goin, dont worry. lol. also, the one im getting is coming with an intercooler, and itll fit where i plan on having it, and it it doesnt, then ive got a good place for it.
