I need to get spacers for my new rims. Am I going to run into problems with my lug nuts?

Maybe. You might also have to use longer studs depending on the design of the spacers...

How hard is it to change my studs?

Anything over about 3/8" thick and you'll need to use adapters with their own studs. You can only get studs that are about 3/8" longer from what I've found (Toyota truck studs). If you are trying to use modern FWD wheels (i.e. +42 mm offset) you'll need adapters for them. HTH
