New 6mg and new clutch. Say clutch catches at approx. 1500 rpm in 1 thru 4th gear. I accelerate for normal street driving and as I pass thru 2200 rpm I hear a light rubbing sound up to 2400 rpm and then it disappears. It happens at same rpm range in all gears except 5 where the volume of sound may be too low to hear. If i accelerate faster the sound duration is less but the pitch might be a bit higher. It definitely goes with rpm and not with rate of acceleration. also I don't feel any clutch slippage at all. I didn't notice it when I revved engine in neutral. I'll try it in neutral again on the way home tonite. I'll also try it in all gears with clutch disengaged to make absolutely sure it's in drivetrain. Anybody have any idea what it is?
