Check out these pages for some good info...

These were the top couple of results of a google search for "wheel offset". Gotta love Google.

You got an answer in less than 7 hours, I'd say that's pretty good!
And you're welcome.

Stock 1985 Supra P-type rims have +8 mm offset. That's 8 millimeters positive offset.
What is the best offset.... It depends on the width of the rim you use. It also depends on whether the rim is going on the front or the rear. Take a look in the "Wheels and Tires" section of the forums. Read a bunch of threads there and you will learn a lot about what fits and what doesn't fit.
Also take a look at the FAQ on celicasupra.com itself, not in the forums.
http://www.celicasupra.com/faq.htm So much great info in that area, you'll learn a lot about your car there.
Have fun!

This is my favorite page from the CS.com FAQ in the wheel section. Pictures at the top of the page pretty much explain it all.

For some of us who have custom wheels on our P-Type MKII's, we just want wheels that "FIT" correctly & directly onto the wheel hub, without having to deal with spacers or adapters. For those of us w/ 16 x 8" custom wheels, a zero offset is what most of us want. For those who have 17 x 8" or 17 x 9"s, in some cases a 3mm - 10mm offset is ideal.
In the end, it will all depend on your wheel width & what size tires you are running...
<--------- 16 x 8" Compomotive CXN's, zero offset (in reality, it's actually a ~-3mm or -4mm offset), NO spacers or adapters, 245/45/16 Yokohama AVS Intermediates.
