I just installed one on my 6mgte. It's a direct 4 bolt fit to the stock ignitor. It made a hell of a difference in spool and lowend torque!

Anyone running one of these?

Direct bolt up? 15% higher voltage than the Accel supercoil?

*interested*

I was planning on getting an accel coil as part of a tune up/ignition upgrade on my stock 5m/ looks like i'll be getting one of these now! I would definatley like to hear from others who have experience with it.

would this be applicable to n/a engines or more for turbo applications?

I'm not sure what the stock specs are but this one is 48,000 volts IIRC.

I ended up getting it cause our area Shucks were out of the Accel units. It's not really plug and play and there is no adapter kit. I used some connectors from spare 5/6m harness which fit the + and - on the MSD. And you will need a 90 deg long sleve wire to connect to the coil (have the MSD wire kit).

Heres what it looks like.

Tanya, a hot spark is aways good. But if you car is running fine you probably don't need it. My car was bogging/missing on the lowend so bad cause of my wacky fuel system that needed something better.

ok gotcha, may be useful with big cams and valves sometime in the future when someone hands me a few thousand bucks

 48,000 volts........whoa! That should keep the plugs firing nicely. :D Definitely looks like a nice upgrade for engines with forced induction, high compression ratios, and high cylinder pressures. The plugs would probably fire in oil with that coil and might be useful for engines that burn a little oil. Can you attach a stock Ford coil plug/connector to the MKII harness?
