rebuld or swap??

i was wondering ABOUT how much would it cost me to rebuild my 5mge.
i was also wondering ABOUT how much would it cost me to just swap it with a 2jzgte? or if someone here has a shop in southern california near LA could swap or rebuild my engine, that would be even better, thxs

I have a 5MGE with 40K miles on it sitting in my garage if you want to buy it. I rebuilt the engine three years ago and put it in my 85, then I took it out cuz I did a 7MGTE swap swap on it.

cost of rebuilding an engine depends on if your doing the job yourself or if a shop is doing it for you.

Same goes for doing the 2JZ swap, you might want call around a few shops in the L.A area to see what they charge for that particular engine swap

if i payed you would u rebuild my 5mge. and also if i payed you would u swap a 2jz in there, cus my friends dad use to be a michanic and he could ship an engine for me then u can swap it. just a suggestion, i mean since u did it already. what do u think??

he didnt swap a 2jz and your gonna need lots of parts to do the 2jz swap. why not just buy the rebuilt engine he offered? im sure if you paid extra he'd prolly install it too. itd save you alot of money to buy that engine then to rebuild yours. these engines last well over 200kmiles if maintained properly.

as for the 2JZ, my skill level isnt that high yet. Try talking to Dave (Daves7M) about that one. He knows his shit better than anyone I know of :P
