Do We have any tuners That dabble with ECU's. IM quite interested in this subject and would like some whereabouts of books, etc. to research a little more.
I would like to learn about piggybacking, as well as tuning ECU with computer programs, and resetting what the computer knows, etc. etc.
Im over here on the east coast so I dont have the exposure that Cali does for the Tuning world.
I also have a few ECU's that im willing to try and mess with, and I have a few hundred dollars I would like to play with.
Any info is greatly apreciated. Thanks!

As best as I've been able to tell, the stock ECU internals are pretty much set in stone. The original schematic diagrams and what not are probably well guarded in a vault somewhere in Japan. LOL!!!

Dave, Eventually I want to make my Own ECU, It will take me a good year before I ever accomplish all the necessary reading. I dont know if that is possible at all, But I do have access to quite a few Toyota ECU's, And a few spare 5m's as well as trannies etc. Anything can be done with the right amount of money and time.

Yea... you could build cars of gold and wishes as well, but its just not cost effective. You will spent ungodly ammounts of time and money trying to do what THOUSANDS have done before you. There is a time and place to be a trend-setter, but that comes about rarely. This day and age, if you want to get shit done before you die and have time to enjoy it just go with what works. Want to be a DIY'er? Get a megasquirt.

Yea Billy, Im gonna do that, I think with the megasquirt, I may upgrade certain pieces on it. That way I can tune and adjust.
