Hey fellow Celica Supra forum members, I am finally checking out of Supra game. I have two 2jzge swapped Celica Supras for sale, thats non turbo just to be clear. Listing the first one for sale, it is my daily driver and has not left me stranded at all. It is an SDR and has 135k on the chassis and unknown mileage on engine as it was a JDM purchase. I have put about 20k on the engine since install. The engine runs strong, I have changed timing belt water pump front seals as well as rear main seal before installing engine. Now for performance parts I have installed header with free flowing 2.5" exhaust. I have deleted catalytic converter and placed magnaflow resonator in its place. I also have the magnaflow single inlet dual outlet muffler installed. 14816 is the part number I believe. The car has a snarl that is for sure. A bit on the loud side. I have converted car from USDM Maf based electronics to JDM MAP based electronics as I was planning to NA-T the car. The car has a Fidanza lightweight flywheel and 6 puck sprung hub clutch disc. I also installed Ishihara Johnson crank scraper when swapping oil pans. I used NGK Iridium plugs, gapped carefully and properly, car idles smooth and runs strong. Used cheap ebay intake with Spec air filter. I upgraded brakes and suspension for the swap. I have Dobinsons up front and in the rear with KYB GR-2's up front and KYB Gas-A-Justs in the back. No stock bouncy ride here for sure. I have the same engine swap done in blue 84 Celica Supra and the SDR feels rock solid and STABLE. Ride is firm but not overly rough. Also have installed Cressida brake upgrade. So recently done rotors(drilled and slotted), pads, calipers and front brake lines. Also replaced front wheel bearings when I did brakes. Changed rack and pinion last spring and installed Raptor Racing rack bushings.

Going to list the bad:

There is a slight squeal on clutch engagment. Don't know if clutch disc has glazed over or if it is because of lightweight flywheel.

There is spot of rust right below driver side rear quarter window. I was tempted to address rust but would rather new owner deal with that than have to deal with questionable body work, I just don't trust the body shops in my area. There is some oxidation to color on hood, a good buffing and it will shine like new I'm sure. There is slight rust where hatch meets double spoiler will take additional pictures to document.

Lastly driver side fender and header panel will need a respray.

Issues the car currently has that WILL be dealt with before sale, new power steering return line as it whines now, new motor mounts and trans mount and extension of engine harness.

I will get pictures of interior tomorrow, it is the black leather grey cloth combo. Interior is in very good condition. All electronics work, power locks, moon roof, radio and heater. All gauges operate in cluster, I pulled green covers off cluster lights so it lights up off white almost yellow now. I have stock rims and actually prefer the look of them over Rewinds but never got around to grinding down calipers to fit them.

I can personally attest to how fun and quick this car is, I've raced against 09 BMW 330i and pulled him until about 80, then he'd pull me back in and pass me by 90 consistently mind you, this is with the car having a bad tune as I was unaware I had incorrect maf housing, which led me to richen up tune which causes ECU to pull timing etc any how I think now the top end race would be a different story. I have raced a g37 Sedan on hiway run late night deep into the 100's and we were neck and neck neither of us could pull. The car had no tune as when I converted to MAP base I haven't reinstalled SAFC. There is another 20-30hp in this car just needs a tune. Though I will not be including SAFC or Wideband that is currently on car.

I understand this post is long on words but short on pictures but I've learned selling a vehicle is a time consuming process and I will upload addtional pictures tomorrow. Just wanted to start the ball rolling in this process. I've been as honest and forthcoming on car details I possibly could have been. If there are any questions post here, pm or e mail me at bklynsupraman@gmail.com My number is 718 640 0905 should you want to call me.

Recent 'rescue' purchase. I'm undecided whether to sell this Supra as is or part it out. Originally imported from USA so the body is very solid for this part of the world. Front seat bottom cushions are ratty (if anyone can supply a pair of base cushions or covers in burgundy leather I'm interested). Sat in storage for years until the owner passed away. Runs great but smokes - drove it 2 hours to get it home. Couple thousand dollars of receipts in the glovebox from Toyota dealer. Good tires. Solid underneath - floor, control arms and rockers. Loads of good parts but chassis is too good to crush IMHO. What should I do? I'm thinking about $1150 if I sell it the way it is.

After patching up and driving this car for a couple years it's time to sell. The particulars are:
It's a 5 spd
188k miles
Black on black
Sunroof (doesn't work)
a/c (doesn't work)
cruise (same)
Some of the stuff replaced:
KYB shocks
K & N air filter
Cam seals
Carrier bearing
Clutch assembly
1-2 shift fork
4 snow tires for winter
This is a nice running, driving car but will constantly need body work. It desperately needs a hatch and the hood is dented. The interior is in good shape except the seats need recovered. Some of the work I've done is covered in the thread Beer Budgit Build.
Asking price is $1200
