ok i now have the ring and pinion to go with a 3.72 or a 3.45 ratio or if i wont i could go 4.3 4.1 3.91 3.8 but i wont to go 3.72 or 3.45. hears the thing i have a 7mgte and i will soon be upgrading the ct26. im going for the 400hp club so i know there are some in hear with a 7m and a 3.72 or 3.45. So what do you have wy do you like it or what would you rather have. Please let me konw.

Depends on what the main use of the car is? 1/4 mile, street, road course,auto-x?
1/4 mile,I would recomend 3.73,3.91,or 4.10,all a matter of playing with ratios for your preference.
Street,3.58,3.73,3.91.Haven't driven a 3.91,I like the 3.73 for a great trade off in performance/mileage.
Road Course,3.42 by all means.Keeps the car in 2nd,3rd,4th,and always in the power band, killer top end
Auto-X,no idea,400hp is overkill for the car "and not very reliable on an upgraded ct26,if even possible-use a to4"84 P-type, 7mgte, too many other mods to list, 20k miles on the chassis. 83 L-type, 7mgte/A340 swap, again, to much to list. 85 P-type, basicaly stock, DD.

I agree with Shawn. I'd recommend 3.73 which is what I have in my 7mgte mk2. Just went a 6 hr hwy drive a few weeks ago from st.louis to Dayton for the Supra meet. Cruised around 70-75 mph which is around 2800rpm. Very comforable. But this is with 17" wheels (slightly larger o.d. than stock).

i think im going to just go with the 3.909 cuz i do a bit of everything --- and 400 hp is ez to get with a to4e 60-1 with a sfac on a dyno or atlees close to it. ive talked to a lot of mk3 guys that are their and love it. id go with a sport turbo or a full t04 but then i need more money. well we will see but thanks for your inpoot.
