MZ11 Soarer Dash in MA61

Does anyone know if this is possible???


I do know that both of these cars run essentially the same chassis... I have a wreaked MZ11 with a nice dash and think it would look cool in the MA61

Both cars have the digital dash... The power connector fits perfectly and it lights up and shows revs and speed etc... although the plugs for all the warning lights turn signal etc are slightly different... will need to sit down with a multimeter and lots of patience...

Can't say I've ever seen a Soarer dash, so this would be extremely cool if it worked.

Ok ive started this coversion... All looks good so far... It seems that the dash will fit... I am taking lots of photos and taking notes.. I will post them up soon... Unfortunately the door trims off the soarer will not fit... So i will need to find a place to fit the mirror controls on the dash as they are located on the drivers side door on the soarer...

After the dummy fit has been completed i will need to get the soarer dash recovered.... I have even managed to get the digital air con control with touchpad kinda working

BTW im looking for the pinouts for the soarer digi dash if anyone has them... Does anyone know if the color codes are the same between these dash's??

Hey stark if you get the digi Tacho to work let me know. I have been trying to figure out how to wire mine up in the MA61 digi dash.

Yeah digi dash works... The main connector with the power has all the connections for the tacho.. It works fine on my australian spec ma61

Its all the other connectors for the indicators door lights cruise control etc that are all different.. i an still tracing all the connections.. the ones i have rerouted so far all work....

If it is the same chassis will the front clip fit?

By the front clip you mean the body panels??

Then the answer is yes they do fit just as the panels from a gz20 soarer will fit an MA70

HOWEVER the body lines ie where it meets the door are different and would need some custom work to integrate into the rest of the body...

As far as the rest of the car the doors are different... (The soarer has window surrounds on them)

But the suspension etc is exactly the same...

Now for the fun idea... This MZ11 soarer came complete with TEMS suspension... The cartridges are really cheap from toyota so I am looking at adapting TEMS to the MA61... Ive already test fitted it all to the Supra...

The Dash is still in progress.. I havnt had too much time to spend on it as I work 6 days a week at the moment but I will Post pics as they come available
