I'm telling ya, buy an old truck down here, rust free. Rent a U-Haul, tow it up there, sell the truck. Profit.

I did that once already about ten yeas ago bringing a Supra from Las Vegas to WI. And yes, that old Ford truck sold almost as soon as I listed it. People around here love rust-free trucks from the Southwest. So I have been looking in Phoenix CL.

I'm surprised with all the cars you buy you don't have a personal tow truck... Guy I knows has one they aren't that expensive actually. He buys a lot of old junk Model T all over the place. Drags them out of the field and tows them home.

I figure if I had a tow truck I'd be buying too many Supras. I keep telling myself this is it. No mas! I've had a tow dolly for a long time and over the years I have towed home Supras from as far away as Nashville, St Louis, Little Rock, Minneapolis, Chicago, Madison, Green Bay and other places in the Midwest I can't even remember.

BTW, I got a call this morning from the truck driver. My latest acquisition should be arriving tomorrow evening.

    Delivered today.

Better shape than I expected. I have a replacement header panel and a replacement panel for under the wipers. Also have an engine to put in her.

Right on man!!! Don't forget, even though it's been disassembled for years, most of the machine work on that engine/crank is fresh. It should have some new bearings in those boxes too. You'll need to clean up the tail end of the crank though.

I began going through all the parts stored in it but it started raining so I will do that another time. My summer break starts in 6 weeks - 20 May, I will start in earnest at that time getting her roadworthy. I am leaning toward putting a 6mge in.

Might want to get at the block fairly soon. I didn't need to do anything to preserve it down here in AZ, but you might want to spray it down with some oil etc so it doesn't rot away.
