    Coming back to Toyota

Hey peeps. Wow i haven't been on this forum in awhile. Some of y'all might remember me. Anywho to the point, ive been driving a horrendous automatic geo prizm for 3 years as a dd. Its getting closer to its death (thank god) anywho my good friend cody has an 85 gt-s celica i am purchasing from him. Its an auto but im swapping in a w58 before i even begin driving it. I know it wont be as satisfying as a 7m powered mk2 but it gets me back into old Toyota's. Ive missed it, sometimes more than others. Ill keep the 22re motor in it for quite awhile. I plan on a slow resto (unlike last time chunking $13k in the car in less than 2 years) i will either keep the 22re permenantly or in the long run a 2jzgte. No more finicky M series motors. I cant afford it now anyways. Cody can chime in here with a good pic. FINALLY a black car. The paint is bad but this will enable a great looking black car when i do get around to painting it. Ill post a couple pics shortly. I have aim at cosmetic beauty before power with this car. I havent figured it out yet but i wanna do something different with the look and yes finally i may put some wheels on a car. I like 5 spoke wheels with studs. We will see. Anywho these are just plans, itll take time. Ill start a resto/build thread when it begins. Ive put a partial payment on the car and will pay the rest and begin the tranny swap soon. Just excited about having a rwd old school toyota again.

I remember you by your cool user name. I've heard good things about the internally rebuilt/modded 22RE. I am a fan of the 22RE, myself. Especially , when an 82 Supra AFM is added. I'm just sayin....

Interesting :-) just the 82 huh? Yea its a pretty durable motor. Ive seen some turboed 22s. I dunno, not in a place to be doing any major modding right now, for quite awhile prob. Looking forward to the car though the more i look the more the celica front end is growing on me

Nothing wrong with the Prizm DD is what you do when you want to preserve the Supra. Welcome back
