    5mge injector info

This is the injector info thread in 5MGTE/6MGTE/7MGTE - turbo forum does not really help me.

What bore of injectors needed for the fuel rail on my 5mge. I see most injectors that are in the bosch style come in 2 different bores. 14mm and 11mm. If its any help I was going to pick up either DeatschWerks injectors or Injector Dynamics injectors; if anyone is using those let me know what you're running. Or if anyone knows if its easier/possible. Would getting a 7mgte or 1/2jz fuel rail be a better way to go?

A little more info if interested, I'm planning on using the microsquirt to eventually turbo and run e85 in my 85 celica supra. Just trying to get all the information I can before starting.

    Thanks in advance

    Question Injector choices:5MTGE.

You just need to dig around in the GMTE for a while to find your answers.

There are many choices for injectors for your chosen project.
You are going about this carefully in choosing the way that you need/want to go here.

The turbo forum section guys REALLY can steer you in the right direction.
There are quite a few injector choices to go with.
    11 and 14 mm sizes on a 5M? Really?
You will get some answers,if you are willing to dig around a little..... MORE.
Some part numbers may be helpful for what you want to do. The Bosch stuff is excellent.

We already know that the search feature inside this forum is difficult to get around.

I've dug around a fair amount. I still haven't found what i'm looking for.

I'm not entirely sure that you understand my question. Also, replying to a post with "search the forms" shuts everyone down from trying to help. You must not be a turbo forum section guy considering you're not STEERING me in the right direction. Thanks for the reply, but i'm looking for actual help.

And yes standard fuel rail bores are generally 11mm or 14mm.

The purple top 2000cc ID injectors for the 2J are 14mm.

My 1J Hypertune rail is also 14mm, and the purple top 2000cc ID's are what I'm using.

Pretty straight forward. High impedance, so you don't need any resistor box. Just one 12v wire to all the injectors, and the trigger to the ECU.

    Hope that helps.
