    EGR delete

    Hello guys,

    In France I don't need to keed the EGR van. So I would like to take it of or simply cancel it. But I need your help, I haven't got any idea how to do that. Just done this once in a Mazdaspeed 3...

    You need to block off 2 holes, one on the intake plenum (towards the firewall), and one one the back of the head.

    Heres a block-off I made for the intake plenum. (the '82-'83 is different slightly from the 84+).


    You'll also need to cap some vacuum lines, I'm doing EGR delete myself now, but I haven't got that far yet so others can explain.

    A simpler way is just to DISABLE it.Plug the vacuum signal. Done.Use a BB.

    I shouldn't speak for him, but I think Dave is referring to BB pellets from a BB air gun, they're round metal balls.
    Just google "BB gun pellets" to see.

    You don't need to remove it from your engine,just DISABLE it.
    Plug the vacuum hoses and put them back on,if you like.
    It's a difficult procedure to remove it and make or buy a plate for the back of the cylinder head.
    If you do it, Remove the hood to make it a LOT easier.Trust me on this.
    OR you may choose to do this:
    Relocate the hood struts to make the hood open a little MORE.
