    Ignition keeps locking up

Hey guys any one else ever experience this? My car keeps locking the key in the ignition where I can't turn the ignition over. It stays in locked. My tires aren't locked up and I just swapped out the whole steering column, only to have the same result! Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you try wiggling the steering wheel back and forth lightly while turning the key to take any pressure off the lock?

Yeah my steering locks up, if I keep wiggling, the steering unlocks but the key doesn't

Try spraying some lubricant in there.

Is it possible the key is worn out? Key code is on the pass. door tumbler. Just a thought. If lubricant does not help, you could buy a used ignition tumble with key or try having a new key cut for your existing tumbler.

Replacing the steering column was probably not necessary. Try to find a mechanic to come over to look at it or take it to a Toyota shop if you can't fix it.
