Hey guys any one else ever experience this? My car keeps locking the key in the ignition where I can't turn the ignition over. It stays in locked. My tires aren't locked up and I just swapped out the whole steering column, only to have the same result! Any help is greatly appreciated
Is it possible the key is worn out? Key code is on the pass. door tumbler. Just a thought. If lubricant does not help, you could buy a used ignition tumble with key or try having a new key cut for your existing tumbler.
Replacing the steering column was probably not necessary. Try to find a mechanic to come over to look at it or take it to a Toyota shop if you can't fix it.
Problem solved, I junked it. Sad to let it go but it was just taking up space..
