I'll read up on it a bit more and post some more info, but my only wonder is if it has some of the sensors built into it....

It looks like it only comes with the Bosch wideband O2, just like the LM-1.
What intrigued me was the user programable warning light, and how it handles the O2 sensor.

"PLX widebands utilize the latest digital PID and DSP technologies to maximize o2 sensor reaction time and accuracy without compromising overshoot, and slow settling response time. This technology is coupled with advanced self sensor calibration circuitry and sensor soft start to both prolong the life of your oxygen sensor as well as eliminating any user intervention for manual sensor calibration."

From a cost perspective, I see it as equivalent to the LM-1 with rpm converter for $429.

I like the (mountable) form factor and backlit display.

that whole quoted paragraph sounds like its been caressed with a bit of snake-oil... going outside of bosch's suggested powering protocall will do nothing, as i highly doubt PLX has engineers that can even touch the research and design abilities of bosch's engineers..

Eh... with that price, you could get the LM1 /w the Aux-box, which includes the map sensor built in. The little screen is pretty and all, but it really isn't meant to replace the dashboard, and in my opinion is useless unless there is a replay function on the unit itself. Also keep in mind that it still isn't released, and its down-falls are still not known. The LM1 has been a solid performer for years now, and the community and support is AMAZING.

It looks good, and I may end up trying it for its knock-sensor integration at some point, but for now, I'll keep my tried-and-true LM1.

    LM1 for life...
