01-30-2006, 12:05 AM #21Good question. I wanted that look originally. Since the chimp fabricated it I asked him to give that higher angled look which is some function some aesthetics so it worked out nice. Garney could answer that actual how to's to make it happen. But it turned out exactly how I wanted w/ paying $$$$ for a header manifold.

As Wade stated, he wanted the turbo positioned like that. I love the look too. Ya open the hood...and BLAM..get smacked in the eyeballs w/ a nicely sized turbo. Really, that was the only reason..that..and I didn't want to build a turbo header for 1/8th the cost of what they would normally go for. I never built a fixture for the adaptor. He's got lots of one-off stuff on his car. I'll be working on his car again soon enough, and will consider building a fixture. I've got a lot of CT26 turbo inlet flanges to sell anyway.

This would be my dream setup. High horsepower without having to go to high boost. I had the money saved up to do something like this until I lost two rings. The $2600 I had saved will now go toward a new sort block from Toyota. It's like starting all over.
