[CLOSED] bolt on edis6 trigger wheel for megasquirt
ok, this is the new thread for the bolt on edis 6 trigger wheel. this is just the trigger wheel and the necc mounting hardware to bolt it to the front of your crank pulley. it will fit 5m, 6m and 7m crank pullies. has 12 holes in it and the degree of adjust ment is in 30deg increments. the center hole is large enough to allow the crank bolt to protrude and also so you can still get a socket on it to turn the engine, however the trigger would need removed to completely replace the bolt when changing the timing belt. it is being made of 1/4in mild steel. the ss one would not work with the ford pickup sensor. you will still need to fab the sensor bracket yourself, it is not included. pics of the wheel are below and shown mounted to a 7m pulley.
this is the trigger you will receive and the bolts you will receive. the bolts are included. i figured this was best so peple wont have a prob sourcing them.

these pics are of the ss prototype that was made mounted to a 7m in the car.

the prices are as follows, $45 shipped each to us and canada. if you buy more then 1, each aditional trigger will be $40 instead of $45. so for 2 it would be $85, and for 3 it would be $125 etc.. so for guys that are local it might be best to have them al shipped to one party. i will also ship to people overseas, but cannot garuntee how fast it will arrive and cannt quote the shipping price until you pm or email me so i can check. be sure to include your mailing address.
i am setting the deadline to 5/29/06. we need at least 30 for these prices. if its close enough ill try to stick to this price setup as best possible. i know this is a lil more then i quoted before, but they are made by a diff supplier. they are gonna be shipped to me, and i will repack and reship them myself. if anyone has any doubts about me search the forum.
now, for why you would want this part. this will allow you to install a megasquirt 2 standalone engine management system much much easier. it works very well wit hthe ford edis ignition setup and is very stable that way, the problem is the ford triggers require custom mounting and would need welded on but they would have to be perfectly centered first which is very hard to do. so this custom cut wheel is a direct bolt on as the pics show to your exsisting crank pulley. it will fit ALL 5m, 6m, and 7m engines.
payment should be sent via paypal to williamb82@yahoo.com. i plan to leave all the money in paypal till i send the order after the deadline. it shouldnt take very long at all after the order is placed for me to receive them and repack and ship, etc.. though ill estimate high now and say expect up to a month for delivery after the deadline. it prolly wont be that long, but im shooting off to give some headroom, i work for a living and something may come up or the shop might get backed up or who knows so im saying this now. my email address for any questions or concerns is williamb82@yahoo.com i can take money orders but would prefer not to as it would complicate things a bit and make the money a lil harder to keep track of. anyhow, i will update this post wit hthe names and how many ordered every time i receive payment.
im pretty sure i covered everything needed, so if i didnt mods please tell me what i missed and ill add it asap.

This looks good!
Two questions, which I believe are relevant enough to this GB to be here. (I'll gladly move them otherwise). Forgive me if it's been brought up already.
i) What is the bolt spacing? I'd like to measure to see if these will fit another Toyota I have. (I don't have an M engine here to check against).
ii) Any thoughts or plans for a sensor mount?
Thanks,
Jimi

4x65mm is the bolt spacing, also, coating should be fine, i plan to paint mine myself, then if it doesnt run right i may sand the paint of the tips of the teeth but dont think ill have an issue with it.
and as far as a sensor mount, another member is having one made for a 7m, i told him to feel free to offer to the list if they are reasonable in price. i dont have time to fab the mounts for everyone, plus some people are eliminating a/c etc.. and that would allow them to put the bracket in that spot etc... some people are keeping a/c like me and will have to find a dif spot. if the bracket becomes available we can try another group buy for those, and any after that ill try to work with the other person so we can do both together so you can buy just the entire bolt on setup. for now though, its just the trigger wheel and mounting bolts.william
