Its been awhile
Well its been some time since my last post on here, I think it was about page 18 of Yannis's buildup on his magnificent supra. I still read alot of the threads on the forum but was waiting till I had something significant to post. Well I think I've got something that might be good enough to break my hiatus from the celicasupra website. Over two years ago I got into a wreak were someone hit my car at about 70 mph in the right rear corner (T-bone) and basically bent my lower arm in two spots, and caved my quarter in, I got off easy compared to his mazda 626. Well after two years of work on the body to fix the quarter and redesign the bodykit I finally had it finished up and painted at a local shop and was wanting to see how everyone felt about the kit and work done to the car. See if it came out ricer-ish like most people have said kits on mk2 look or if it turned out to actually look ok and sort of blur the lines of the kit with the car to fit together better. With all that rambling out of the way I guess here are a few of the pictures.

and the last shot i took today of the car from the drivers front corner
I have other photos of the car and should have it running by the end of next week if things go well. So far all of the external modifications are as follows:
1. custom front bumper
2. custom sideskirts with vents for rear brakes
3. shaved rear bumper
4. mkiv front turn signals and rear taillights
5. shaved door handles, antenna, rear wiper and washer squirter and gas door
6. custom front and rear flares to accommodate bigger wheels
7. Rays Engineering G-Games 77Wolf 2piece rims
18x8 with 215-35-18 up front and 19x10 with 275-30-19 in the rear Nitto 555
8. 98 Supra 1b9 Quicksilver FX paintjob including all jams, engine bay gloss black
Thats about it for the outside, I'm building a custom grill for the front upper mouth with my friend and should finish it up and get it black chromed.I may include on it either a cutout of the old celicasupra dragon shape or maybe the toyota symbol that can be found on the block and on many of the other parts on the supra, it kinda resembles tey
Well thats it, I know it was rather long and didnt really contain any usefull information. I did managed to learn alot from this time building the kit that I will do different on the next car so if anyone has any questions I might be able to help or atleast give some sort of answer that could helpout. I thank you for your time.

That's a lot of body work.
Not my style to work in MkIV tailights and make the nose look like a Starion, but props for all the work!
I don't think anybody else is running 19's either.
Those widths can be run on a 'stock' P type with the right offsets (no widening needed).

Yeah that front looks alot like a starion, I get alot of mustang questions aswell with the car. Im running adapters all around which made it harder to fit 10's under the fenders and also the car was a L type so it was really horrible, it is a +25 offset in the rear without adapters. They fit pretty well then i went and lowered it about 3.5 inches due to the raise in height from the wheel and tire combo. Dropped the lip of the metal fender right on the tires sidewall so I cut and reshaped the inner wheel well and made the fender flare come up higher to make room for travel.

Beautiful paint color, OK looking bodykit... but going with mkiv taillights was definately the biggest rice move you or anyone else could ever make. Gets some more shots of the car though... did it used to be blue at one point?

The car was originally dark blue then the previous owner painted it teal/ turquoise. After I bought it had a kit built and painted a med. blue metalic from 2000 lexus and now its this color. The taillights are as far rice as I car to go. I think my obsession with wanting to own a mkiv is leaking onto my projects. The only saving grace I can say to those that do it to other cars is atleast I kept it in the family, which can also be taken a bad way aswell. The color now is incredible in the sunlight, I cant wait to get out there and drive with it which is going to be a big pain in the ass on public roads out here in oklahoma. The toll highways look worse out here then the backwater country roads in Delaware did or any state heading East as much as I can remember.

That is tons of work and looks like it's coming out pretty good. I suppose we all would have styled it a little different, but that's the point of doing a one-off custom, isn't it? I'd like to get a better look at it in person some time. When you get it together if you feel like making a run up I-44 let me know.

Nice work! It's coming along very nicely. That's a great color too. That's close to the color I was looking into painting my car. When I first saw the pic, I thought it was a Starion/Conquest. However, after a closer look, it's no doubt a MKII.
What are you doing with the interior?
