    a bit lost on the engine swap

    so the wiring and ecu has to be the same year as the engine?? i also heard find a donar car without abs whats up with that is that true? i was thinking 89+ and every donar car i found had abs,lost.

    abs dusnt matter the ecu and wiering need to be the same as the head do to plug changes in the diffrent years well 87 to 88 89 to 92 i think. Dave

    ABS does not matter.You just ignore it.The ABS system,is independent od the main ECU and will not throw any codes because of not being hooked up.To check ABS codes,there is a seperate diagnostic block,that you won't even have,as it's a body harness mounted system.
    As for the rest of the wiring,it's all a year by year,car/engine.At minimum,you need both the main TSRM and Electrical supplement for YOUR CAR,and the Electrical supplement from the year of the DONOR harness/computer.
    If you are not comfortable with custom wiring,or know someone who is,it can be very confusing.
    84 P-type, 7mgte, too many other mods to list, 20k miles on the chassis. 83 L-type, 7mgte/A340 swap, again, to much to list. 85 P-type, basicaly stock, DD.
