Heres the deal.

I have a 1981 Supra.w-50 5 speed is blown. I had a w-58 out of a 87 Supra. I was under the impression that these transmissions were interchangable from the big info sticky. My mechanic and I measures both trannies....perfect. However.....it doesn't work, so he said.

He said the slave cyl does not bolt up, and that its not going to work and I need to find a w-50. Whats the real deal on this? Im using the stock 5m-e motor. Can I just swap the slave cyl for a MKIII? I need the info asap.....im tying up a lift and pissing away money.
