    Restarting after rebuild questions

I just had my engine rebuilt and the latest upgrades were forged pistons (9.1:1 compression) and an upgraded ct26. The car was tuned before with all the other upgrades and all the settings are the same as before the rebuild. When starting, the engine idles at 500 rpms with no high idle when cold. The engine seems like it is running on 5 cylinders, but does a little better when warm. The increase in compression ratio and upgraded ct26 wouldn't make a difference, would it? Should it seem to run as if it is missing until the computer adjusts itself?

double check your ignition timing, (tooth off). sounds silly, but check that the spark plug wires are going to the right cylinders and that they're seated. cam timing is a possibility too.

I think all these are correct. The CPS lined up perfectly when I installed it. I played with the timing and it idled the best at 10 degrees before tdc. I'll double check though.

triple check the spark plug wires. had the same situation with my friends 7m. even though we labeled them, we somehow screwed it up.
