Iroc-Z
To start the story off slow... One day a couple weeks ago i saw a convertable camaro driving down the road going the other way. The dude had the top down and i saw him looking at my supra as I was looking at his car when we passed. It was black with two white racing stripes, young dude blaring his music. At the time i was really wanting to race him but we were going the wrong direction so meh
Time went by and later that day when I was driving back home I notice a car moving up weaving through traffic til they lined up behind my car at a light. It was a two lane but someone was occupying the other lane. I noticed it was the same black convertable camaro. I got off the line like normal not figuring he would do anything being behind me. However the guy takes off darting in between the me and the guy next to me and starts to pass. I start to accelerate but its too late he's already moving a good clip faster than me and the lane quickly turns to a one lane ahead so i decide screw it and turn off to head home.
Now a few weeks later I'm cruising down 1st ave with a few of my friends cars in tow. As we're rollin down the street i notice the exact same camaro at a gas station. He's ready to pull out and has his left blinker on. I rev my engine as I roll past to acknoledge him. He quickly turns right merging with traffic. I continue on my way down first ave and watch as the camaro weaves through traffic doing its all to catch up. Finally a spot opens up and he roars through traffic to pull up beside me. Ironically at that very moment we come up to a traffic light that has just turned red. My windows are down and I look over at him. This time his top is up, but he's lookin at me with a big dumb grin on his face. From somewhere out of the back of the car I hear a girl yell, "Hey Hottie!!" After that i knew it was on.
I figured the car was packing a 350, and had personally seen some of the Iroc-Z's haul some ass so I was shaking a little bit almost expecting to get left behing. As a result I revved the engine up to about 4500, hoping that somehow it would hook and give me a nice launch against him. I look over and his car haunches down as he powerbreaks. He revs it to the point his back tires actually start spinning. I can feel the tension in my arms and legs and it feels like an eternity waiting for the light. Finally the light flicks and in the same instant we both unleash our cars. Turns out I revved too high and the tires break traction. He jumps about a car out as my tail slides to the left. I let off the gas just a little, the car hooks and i easily pass him. I kept going stupidly all the way til about midway through third absolutely running away from the poor guy. Eventually I got wise and realized it was first ave so i slowed down. The guy followed me all the way to the parking spot we usually chill at. He rolls up and asks, "That a five speed?" I replied that it was and he goes, "Thats why I lost." and without another word takes off back the way we had come.
Afterward my buddy told me that the launch looked absolutely sick. And even better yet A couple days later while I was at work I noticed the car parked in the parking lot. I went out and asked if it was the same one I had raced. He said naw he had just gotten there. I told him I meant a few days ago on the ave and he asked what i drove. I said the toyota over there and he frowned and said yeah it was him. I asked him hoping it was a 350 but he told me it was only a 305. I was a little disappointed cuz a 350 would be such a better story but hey, i still killed a camaro Iroc-Z

honestly, in a drag race, an auto is better. instant power, no delay in shifting. my brothers 4.0L V6 in his ranger has kicked many a tail, especially camaros.
Good kill, great story, love the detail! Gotta love the two wheel spin on the LSD though huh?Dennis

yeah its LSD. and since he took me off the launch he definately had no excuse. but oh well, i've never won a race against a muscle car guy that didn't have excuses afterwards...

lol awesome Kill!!!! I raced my buddies 81(i think) comaro z28 with a 350 under the hood and won. the race was very close, but i was expecting to get my ass walked all over. if he had driven better he probably could have taken me but it still felt great. mustangs and comaros are the best to beat, expecially in a mid eighties toyota lmao!
84 P-type, original red paint, rust free, mint, and back on the road... for now.

Had one barely walk away from me on the interstate once. However, I was with 2 friends and at least 100 pounds of luggage. More american weaksauce.
