    Deleted Parts Thread

I've decided to start this thread to help everyone out with discontinued parts. I'm starting to see more and more parts disappear on a monthly basis as we wipe Toyota out of old stock. I'm not going to spend a ton of time researching each and every part on the cars, but just the main pieces that I get regular inquires on. I will try to update this list as often as possible. If anyone knows of deleted parts, feel free to submit them to me via PM or post here and I'll research them for addition to the list. I would really appreciated it if questions about parts availability be left out of this thread. Keep in mind this is a constant work in progress. All pieces that are on the list fit all years of MkII Supras unless noted in the description. So without further ado.....

....would it be too much to ask for the parts numbers as well? I know it's time consuming....

I think the heater core assembly is also Class F. At least that is what the local Toyota dealer told my mechanic when he inquired.

    This list is depressing.

wow those parts aren't available? i need so many of them too.

to add: the bolt (cant remember the name, it has a hole through it to allow fuel through) for the cold start injector (or w/e the injector in the upper IM is) is in very short supply as in single digits. i think i got one of 5 left from toyota, at least thats what the representative said. its a much more obscure part than the ones you listed but if it helps, there you go.

I wonder what the chances of getting NOS parts made by an independent company would be? It would be great to have resources like domestics do with companies like YearOne or Eastwood.

Misinformation is a terrible disease...please wash your hands to keep it from spreading. The banjo bolt for the cold start injector is in little danger of being discontinued for now. If Toyota feels its in their best interest to carry five in the country than it probably means they still sell them. I can get banjo bolts for 66 Crowns... They may only have five here in their system, but two of those are at different PDCs instead of the main parts center in Ontario, CA which means the numbers still move.

Very unlikely. Japanese culture is so different than it is here stateside. They live on an island, and are very space conscientious in their decision making. I'd say much of the old tooling was scraped years ago before anyone thought to buy it up. Who knows? Maybe someone did buy all that stuff up and is sitting on it, but I highly doubt Toyota kept much laying around. What's Toyota's ad slogan these days..."Moving Forward"?

Yes it is...and it keeps getting more and more so by each passing week. I'll be updating soon, and both heater cores and radiators were on my list.
