82 Supra 5mgte + 7mgte Bonus Swap!
Hi guys,
Sad but true.
The reality is I can't give her what she needs....time!
I REALLY want a forum member to win this so I know she will be in good hands. God I hope it doesn't go into the wrong hands & become another statistic rust bucket.

Very nice looking car.
The interior is great!
Have you thought about putting a 5MGE back in it and keeping it original? It's nice enough a lot of peeps would be interested in it that way. (myself included - I like the car, but don't have the time to tackle a swap right now - got to get the MkI finished
)

Yes, I have thought about it but that's as far as I get. I just don't have the time or patience anymore to pull motors & spend all my time in the garage. In my younger days it wasn't a problem but my family has to come first so my little bit of time each day I want to spend with them. Besides, my boy is 2 & he's about ready for his first Mk2 driving lesson.

I'm selling out for now but not getting out of the game. Supras are in my blood but the next Supra will have to be ready to go, no swap needed.
Thanks for the comments.82 7MGTE, W58, SP61/upgrded elbow, Spearco IC, P&P, 2.0MHG, VPC/SAFC2, LM-1 Wideband, Full 3in, TRD rear, Springs/Shox, Cold A/C, 85 deck

If you really wanted it to go to a forum member, you would have listed it here for the ammount you hope to recieve for it. ...not ebay.

Yea, Unfortunately after being raped by ebay fees I guess I want to run the auction & see what happens. Is it just me or does it seem like they raise their rates every 15 minutes. I just love to hate those greedy bastards but they give you the exposure you need sometimes, especially on something like this.
At any rate, we'll see what happens.82 7MGTE, W58, SP61/upgrded elbow, Spearco IC, P&P, 2.0MHG, VPC/SAFC2, LM-1 Wideband, Full 3in, TRD rear, Springs/Shox, Cold A/C, 85 deck

First, good luck with the sale. I have an idea, fly Junkie and myself to your place and we'll have the 7mgte in and reliable in 2 weeks. then you could sell it or keep it. You have a very clean car, I like it. I know alot of folks like the 5mgte upgrade, but it seems to me that more often than not they get frustrated with the runability issue's associated with this choice. It's hard to beat the reliability of a correctly converted 7mgte mk2.

Just read your listing. Is it possible to blow a metal head gasket @ 7-8PSI? I bet you cracked the head or your head bolts are loose. I would suggest before selling that you check the bolts. If they are tight, you must have cracked the head.
Just a thought.

Thanks for the comments. I really took my time assembling the motor & torqued the head down in sequence, ARP studs, etc. Maybe I blew a piston ring? Most of the smoke seems to be blue.
DON:
Tempting offer but my garage is less than suitable for a motor swap & the 7mgte really would need a complete rebuild first just to be safe. If you're serious, well hell, you're crazier than the maniac! (lol)
I'm afraid this car broke my damn spirit. I wish I had it in me to fight thru a 7m swap myself but I just cant. I don't have the POWER CAPTAIN!
