    Rear window question

When I bought my car I did'nt notice that the rear window had been replaced. The question that I have is the rear spoiler does not go thru the glass(see pictures). How concerned should I be that the vibrations from the spoiler will crack the glass....P.S I don't normally go over 90MPH...

what a mess.. the original mounts have a rubber "bushing" between the glass. appears that the glass wasnt drilled for the spoiler at all... seen it too many times.

Previous owner must have misunderstood when someone told him to put the caulk to it. I'm suprised you havent made a spiderweb of the glass yet or worse...see an old post from Norbie.
You should be able to get diamond bits specifically for drilling into glass at any half decent hardware store or let a pro do it so if he messes up.....

As long as you keep it under 90, or not stay at sustained high speeds for extended lengths, you should be fine. Just be careful!!!! It has been documented here that they will shatter @ high speeds if the spoiler is missing the center support bar. Ask Norbie!!! He has pictures here somewhere of what's left of his!!!!
