[CLOSED] Interest: Die Cut Hood Insulator - VOTE NOW! **PICS ADDED**

    Target price ~$70.

It will be die cut to exact size and mounting holes will be drilled. It will mount with stock clips in stock locations. It will be flat and rigid...we should have no sagging issues. Not as good as an OEM molded piece (not available, and impossible to build a replica for a decent $$$), but not bad at all...and it will be built by a top supplier.

Here is an example for an old Buick.

I'd definately be down for 1 with reasonable pricing like that, just hope shipping wouldn't cost more than the part.

at that price, I'll take one.

If MrTechNIC agreed, we could combine shipping for ours.

The edges are open, and they sell 10s of thousands of them a year with no problem. I obviously started whining about the open edges, and the 1 guy suggested using 3M Super 77 to seal the edges....but he said it was not necessary.

I dropped my prized NOS insulator off to them yesterday so they can make a CAD copy. I should have a sample very soon

ps. damn shame we cant get enough peole interested in the molded unit...their repros are awesome.

I said no, only because thats will be over or close to $100 cad after I get it to my door. Mine isn't too bad and the car needs other things first. However, I think you will have great success, that is an excellent price and I will look for one later in life! Sooner than later I hope!

    Great Job, Mike!

    Will they be keeping stock?

They dont sell to consumer, so I will have to run this via GP. Good thing is, they will do a 25 pc run to start!

I will have the sample Monday/Tuesday
