Today, I learned that EST outputs in the Pro-EFI are limited to 5v.

I had to rewire a few things.

Installed the Billy M kit and Cube short throw shifter. Feels like a light switch! Hard to tell what gear I'm in sometimes but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Anyone else run into problems when installing a short throw? Had to leave the center console in place then install the shifter by feel. The lever didn't go back far enough in 4th so I could slip it through the leather boot. Also had to reverse the rubber boot because it sits a little more forward than the stock shifter.

    Hopefully this video works...

^^^^^^Those are some VERY short throws. Looks awesome!

I just drove my car about an hour. Now I know why most people hate the dog box, but I absolutely love it.

Maiden voyage done, and I can't stop smiling. After two years of waiting and building, I finally did it.

On May 7, I installed a 40W power converter for the laptop. Required for tuning.

Ordered a full aluminum 7MGTE radiator with 2 electric fans, as the water pump I bought for the 1JZ had a different hub and the original fan was now 1/2" too close. So, new radiator and fan solved in one go.

In related news, the cams looked to be in excellent condition once she was opened up. Swap time is getting closer.

I got an alignment today. First time after all the urethane bushings (thanks Raptor Racing) and a new inner tie rod.

    Drives absolutely amazing.

Wasn't too happy with how far forward the Cube shifter was sitting so I emailed Cube and they hooked it up with their SC300/Soarer lever to see if it would sit better. Richard is an awesome guy and super helpful! We discussed a couple different solutions and we settled on this one. I'm in love, perfect placement! No more hyperextending my arm to get to 5th, lol. Get ready for a pic heavy post!

Even with the crazy angles I was able to get the stock rubber boot to fit under the leather one

You didn't want to go rally style and have it super close to the steering wheel? :P
