I really have enjoyed researching and building this car with my own hands. At this point, it doesn't matter what chassis it went into. Just the satisfaction, which was all I was ever after.

Thank you for the advice and suggestions, Ken. There's a lot of people I owe recognition and fair gratitude towards, having helped me along the way. A great many of them on this forum I've praised.

Some of the interior is back together. I've been cranking the motor without plugs to get oil pressure. I'm giving the starter and battery a break. It's a smaller relocated battery. I didn't even try that much today, as I would like this starter to last a while. I'll try again tomorrow.

EDIT: So I went back out and cranked the car with the oil filter off. Got oil pressure immediately.

Decided it was time to get the driver's seat in, and I also installed the Stillway Shifter. I stopped because I need C-ring pliers.

Put the seats and a lot of the interior back in.

Sent the tune back to Alpha to go over. Too much fuel during cranking, it seems.

I'll be tuning that stuff myself if the new map doesn't work.

Gray '86 with the 2-tone blue and tan front end. Showed up with a couple other guys too. Black '85 with ROH snypers and a brown '83. It was pretty packed when we got there so we didn't pull in. We just ended up parking by the underpass.

I think I recognize your car. Were you the one talking to one of my friends(guy with the dog) about airbags when the mk4 guys were having problems going down the ramp?

I was definitely talking to the guy with the dog ("MJ"), but don't recall what exactly we were talking about besides dogs.

I was wearing a "Supra Culture" t-shirt, and a USS Iowa baseball cap.

Yeah, more than one car had problems going back down the ramp!

I left when they asked people to move their cars so they could do burnouts.

Looks like a lot of meets on the West coast! Wish we had those kind of Supra numbers here.

I put in all the roll cage padding I think I'll ever need. Still diagnosing the electric power steering.

It's the little things that take a lot of time away, but it will be worth it.

I drove it around the block. :)

Today, I learned that EST outputs in the Pro-EFI are limited to 5v.

I had to rewire a few things.

Installed the Billy M kit and Cube short throw shifter. Feels like a light switch! Hard to tell what gear I'm in sometimes but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Anyone else run into problems when installing a short throw? Had to leave the center console in place then install the shifter by feel. The lever didn't go back far enough in 4th so I could slip it through the leather boot. Also had to reverse the rubber boot because it sits a little more forward than the stock shifter.

Hopefully this video works...

^^^^^^Those are some VERY short throws. Looks awesome!

I just drove my car about an hour. Now I know why most people hate the dog box, but I absolutely love it.

Maiden voyage done, and I can't stop smiling. After two years of waiting and building, I finally did it.

On May 7, I installed a 40W power converter for the laptop. Required for tuning.

Ordered a full aluminum 7MGTE radiator with 2 electric fans, as the water pump I bought for the 1JZ had a different hub and the original fan was now 1/2" too close. So, new radiator and fan solved in one go.

In related news, the cams looked to be in excellent condition once she was opened up. Swap time is getting closer.

I got an alignment today. First time after all the urethane bushings (thanks Raptor Racing) and a new inner tie rod.

Drives absolutely amazing.

Wasn't too happy with how far forward the Cube shifter was sitting so I emailed Cube and they hooked it up with their SC300/Soarer lever to see if it would sit better. Richard is an awesome guy and super helpful! We discussed a couple different solutions and we settled on this one. I'm in love, perfect placement! No more hyperextending my arm to get to 5th, lol. Get ready for a pic heavy post!

Even with the crazy angles I was able to get the stock rubber boot to fit under the leather one
