waiting to get some spare fundage....

I dont wanna put it in and run into a unexpected expense and not have any money and just have my car down and sitting in the garage.

The kit is assembled and I have what should be some real kick ass startup maps from a fellow megasquirter.

I have 440s, pigtails, IAT bung, etc ready to go...shouldnt take but a day to get that all swapped in and somewhat going...

    BUT

that will be an update for MY build thread not.

I will however post pictures in the first posts on how to plug it in lol.

I am currently assembling my DIYPNP and have come to an issue I have undoubtedly created for myself. I have installed all the resistors and diodes and have moved to installing the capacitors. I have Installed C7, C8, C6 and C10. I neglected to note polarity of said capacitors. I do have a multi meter I can test but need to know test values and methods to verify correct polarity. I have no idea what I was thinking not paying attention to polarity. I think I am done for this session of soldiering.

Also a question, Instructions state "If you are using the high current ignition outputs (Q1 through Q4 - only used when you do not have an external ignition module)" Meaning an external module such as a MSD? I did not plan on running one but unsure.

    So far...

its not too difficult to pop them back off, and then put them back on correctly. I had to on a few of mine because I had them backwards as well.

Yeah I know that... problem being I'm not sure how to identify if they are placed correctly or not...

they should have identification on both the board and the capacitor... A little "+" if I remember correctly...

I stopped before I got to the larger capacitors. The only ones I have installed have been C7, C8, C6 and C10. None of these seem to have a + marking on them. I'm guessing they had one leg longer than the other to mark polarity but I have already snipped the ends off. I can see that I have installed with C8 with the writing facing away from the other capacitors, C6 and C10 with the numbers 103 facing the resistors, and C7 with the numbers and lettering legible when holding the board with the resistors above the capacitors. Hope they are in correctly but want to know for sure before proceeding.
