Hmmm, I'm sorry if I offended you. I'll admit that I haven't been on this forum in a few years, and didn't read all 71 pages of comments... so I don't know if this is a touchy subject or something. Wheels are all I deal with for a living, and my intentions were only to help out.

I'm still saving up for wheels. I'd be interested in a cheaper option... perhaps in 16" even. 17" almost looks a little big yet for our cars. A little more meat on the tire might not look too bad; but definitely better than our current 14". As long as they hold up well and don't have a pealey clearcoat it sounds good to me.
