    Year-End NorCal MarkII Supra Rally – 7 November 2010

    Well, Supra Derek and Supra Steve are at it again. Let’s finish off the year with a fun time in our beloved Supras. Here’s the plan:

    Date: Sunday, 7 November - RAIN WILL CANCEL.

    Place: Vallejo, California

    Time: 10:00 AM – Tire Kicking and Mini Swap Meet – Departure: 11:00 AM

    Route: North on Silverado Trail in the Napa Valley to Calistoga

    Lunch: Calistoga

    Route: North on Highway 29 to Kellog

    Now the fun begins with some nice twisties: South on Franz Valley Rd., East on Porter Creek Rd., South on Calistoga Rd., West on Highway 12, South on Bennett Valley Rd., South on Arnold Dr., South on Highway 121 (to Infineon Raceway), east on Highway 37 to Vallejo

    Total Miles: About 100

    Let’s start talking this up. We need your feed back on the date. We’ll make a find date decision no later than 20 October 2010. We are inviting MR-2s, MKIIIs, and MKIVs to join us.

    Add me to the list of attendees for the Sunday meet. I am really looking forward to this. I will make an offering of Napa valley wine and cheese to the rain gods and ask them to hold off any rain until after the meet just in case. If anyone from the south bay wants to caravan up to the meet let me know.

    Hey Supra Guys!

    We have scoped out the route and it is a doozy. Here are the final notice and meeting directions.

    Date: Sunday, 7 November - Time: Meet 10:00 AM - Depart 11:00 AM -RAIN CANCELS - YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED IF THERE IS DOUBT.
    Meet Location: Parking Lot, Bank of America, Village Plaza Shopping Center, on Sonoma Blvd. (Highway 29), right side, immediately south of intersection Redwood Street and Highway 29 – Starbuck’s available in shopping center. Route map and que sheet provided at start. If late, call Supra Derek: 510-435-2345. Bring your cell phones.
    GAS UP IN VALLEJO.
    Directions:
    From Sacramento Area: Exit Highway 80 at Redwood Street, Vallejo. Drive west to Highway 29 (Sonoma Blvd.), left onto Highway 29 south.
    From San Francisco/Oakland Areas: Exit Highway 80 at Redwood Street, Vallejo. Left over Freeway on Redwood Street to Highway 29 (Sonoma Blvd., left onto Highway 29 south.
    From Livermore/Concord Areas: Highway 680 north to Highway 760 West (Vallejo). Exit Columbus Parkway and follow to Highway 80. Cross under Highway and becomes Highway 37. Exit at Highway 29 (Sonoma Blvd.). Turn left on Sonoma Blvd. to Village Plaza Shopping Center and Bank of America just past Redwood Street.
    Program: 10:00 AM Kick Tires and Mini-swap Meet (bring stuff if you want) - 11:00 AM we head up Napa Valley via Silverado Trail and beautiful changing fall colors.
    Quick Lunch in Calistoga. Then it's the real back roads with lots of twisties. Not a speedy route, but challenging and pretty. Approximate distance: 98 miles.

    Wanted to ask about the quick lunch in Calistoga, are we having lunch at a local eatery or should we bring lunch with us?

    You are welcome to bringyour own lunch, but most just dive into a local deli around the corner from the parking lot.

    I interpret that to mean "we are having lunch at a local eatery". I think we stopped there the last time we toured through Calistoga.
