My Luck
So, I never seem to be able to get any good races out of people, its either ones Im gonna demolish them, or they will demolish me. Saturday night, I was driving down mcleod trail, and a new monte carlo, SS Supercharged pulls up, revs his engine, I wanted none of that, he hauls ass away, im glad I didnt try, that would have been embarasing. Later on on the same street, I pull up beside a brand new, off the lot grand prix GT, and figured I would have a go with him. Light goes green and I actually got ahead for a second, as I went to shift into second, bam, nail a pothole, and totally miss my shift, he hauls ass off. So next lights I caught him, and we decide to have a go again. I didnt get as good of a launch as the last lights, and he got a good one, so I basically stayed at his rear end up untill about 140 ish, then he turned off. I want my turbo engine so bad so that I can compete with these guys.

Oh well, that will be my last kill story for a while, fuel pump is fackered, so im back to driving my stupid dodge shadow... I should find a cheap turbo for it and put it in haha.

i know what you mean man, finding a decent race is difficult.
5.0 mustangs are usually good for fun, it comes down to driver skill for the win tho, cause a good condition 5.0 5 speed with a good driver will kill you but an auto will loose, usually
- the Bentley Continental GT...at 1600 rpm it makes more torque than an entire production run of hondas
- "Drifting...isn't that what homeless people do?"
- Ah VTEC. All the lag, none of the turbo. It's like waiting for bad sex

I haven't been able to find a decent race since I've swapped engines, now I'm afraid too. Florida just passed a new anal retentive law:
get caught for drag racing on the streets, automatic arrest and impound, no tickets, no warning, minimum fine of $250 up to $500...
...looks like I'll keep lurking in the shadows from now on

That is anal; I believe in Oregon, it's just a $500 fine (of course, they can also nail you for reckless endangerment, speeding, etc.), but still an automatic impound? Ouch!

California passed a similar law last year. Can be used for drag racing and 'sideshows.' 'sideshow' were big in Oakland where people would just hang out and do donuts among crowds of people. Pretty crazy! When the cops came people would split. One guy sped through a light and killed a young woman  . Another kid down south t-boned an 87 yo man @ 100 or so mph in a 25. Supposedly he had just seen 2 Fast 2 Furious :gotrice: . Can you imagine living to 87 a getting killed by some punk kid :wtf1:
well, i guess it's like they say. "It's only illegal if (or when) you get caught". so be careful! :fruit:'84 p type 5mge 5spd.
