    ^ agreed.

I'm also impressed by these members knowledge and contributions to our forum...definitely adds value to the community database.

Even smilies can be taken the wrong way, esp. since the majority of them are sorta negative and left open to interpretation, so there's no need for a pissing contest, lol.

BTW Dragon, did you ever determine the source of the leak? I've had a light drip from my rear main seal for years, no worries, I'll fix it whenever...front lowering springs helped. My ride doesn't burn any oil, means less frequent oil changes and it helps to keep the oil clean with regular top-ups.

Drain plug leak issue I learned about many years ago is the over tightening of the plug that twists the pan threads and the pan surface.
Minor fix#1 is to hammer the opening and surround to flatten surface that gasket seats on.

Fix #2 is to use a plain flat washer that fits the plug, put some JB weld between the washer and the pan surface, tighten, trim the excess and let harden before running. This gives a new surface for the gasket to seal against.
