Project: Terra Cotta (Refreshing)
Hey guys, just wanted to thank all of you for the help you have provided me. Before we get to the goods (pics), just wanted to clarify that this is just a mini resto kinda refresher.
No claim of skill here, any advice feel free to offer it up.
Basic layout of my project here:
-Painting trim, wing, mirrors etc
-Interior: Redo headrests, shift boot, arm rest, back carpet etc
-Engine: Intake (future), valve covers... I start the car up everyday. Car has bogging down and eventually dying idle. Gotta figure that out... think it's just the battery...
-Miscellaneous: Cluster swap (already done), grille badges
Thanks, stay tuned for more pics (interior and engine stuff to come)
Took all mirrors, trim, and wing off for paint.

Rear wing and wiper assembly gone for paint... going to paint trim

Gutter and wipers off to paint shop...

Yeah... shouldn't take too long. Can't wait to get everything all painted up and put back on.
Yup good refresher... look like a brand new car in the spring. My mirrors and wing were down to grey primer! lol. So faded from the sun

Hey guys,
Some more pics for you. Arm pillars and stuff are faded bad as you can see!
Hopefully the upholstery place does a good job.
Back end ripped apart... need some new carpet.
Stay posted for more... parts are off to paint this week

wow, I thought that my headrests were faded, but it seems that your whole interior is way more faded than mine!

I wonder if there is any TC with tinted windows out there?
I'm not sure about tinting windows with that color.
Would do it just for the benefits I guess.
If you tint your windows, shoot some pics!1982 P-Type Terracotta - 1JZ-GTE

All my windows were tinted dark when I bought my car years ago...IMO that and the louvers saved the interior.
I had to remove the driver/pass window tint last year (new law here in NS).
If you can't find a good upholsterer, I had a shoe/saddle maker do repairs (on leather).
