    H.I.D Issue

I bought an HID Kit, http://hidnation.com/10000khidkits.html but when i go to turn the lights nothing happens, yes the wiring is right.. (can't make a mistake everything is plug and play) The highbeams however work.. I know the KIT is good because i plugged it into my girlfriends civic and the HID's worked flawlessly. Low and high beams.

My question is, why? And is the wiring in the stock system to weak? Not enough amperage? Any other reasons it wouldn't work?

Probably a weak connection on the ground side in your car...either that or your grounding the ballasts in a bad spot

Hmm the balist boxes i got didnt call for grounding. it was part connector pin that goes into the old harness. Any idea on which grounds could be weak? I have no electrical issues in the vehicle at all.

check the ground for the wire connector. sounds like a weak ground.

crossed wires maybe?? you said the lights only worked when you put the high beams on... most kits do not work on high beams unless you get a more expensive hi/lo kit, they usually only work on low beam and not on high beam, which is why I say maybe a wire is crossed.

MY H.I.D's are hi and lo beam and my high beams used to not kick on, on one side. When I reconnected the headlight motors the high beam came back on finally... I would guess a ground. You should have a ground wire that came in the plug and play kit. Maybe it's the switch did the lights work flawless before the conversion?

Did you make sure to hook up the power and ground wires going to the ballast? Toyota uses a switched ground system, not a switched power like most hid kits are wired for.

    Thread Hijack

Little question vdkk, is your kit Hi-lo (Hid on low beams, halogen on high beams) or Motorized (Low and High beams in HID) ?
