hello everyone, im back after a few years of being MIA. i just recently picked up a really low mileaged 7mgte from connecticut last night for 350 buck complete with harness and complete with sensors. thanks william

Im not wasting any time on progress so pictures will be uploaded tonight. In case anyone is wondering why its called project RIP, the reason comes from my father who passed away in 2006 due to liver cancer. He bought me my first 85ptype and helped install my first 7mgte swap when I was 17. With some help from damon of course. Anyways this is dedicated to him for being my inspiration and motivation.











Just for comparison, precision t3t4 and ct26.


Not too bad, was expecting oil residue everywhere.



Head is finally off and what a surprise








So that's what happens when ppl don't know how to take care of engines and leave it out in the rain with no tarp. Luckily the 7m's hg looked great. Both the block and head surfaces are not warped or pitted.

Some more progress last night. Head is finally disassembled off to the machine shop for some cleaning and a resurface job.

85 ptype I'm picking up in a month and a half for the swap. Looks really clean. Guy is on the forums, hopefully it goes through.

Got my head resurfaced and started to clean up my intake and exhaust chambers.

Finally got around to tearing up the bottom end.























Thats it for now. Will update with more pics after i rehone the cylinders and get the block resurfaced.

so its been awhile....here are some slow updates

polished valve covers with oil catch can setup


7mgte head all cleaned up, resurfaced, and assembled


I also got my cams cleaned up


Crank checked out great...cleaned up as well


also bought this Front facing intake manifold with a driftmotion tb


my alternator drop down bracket. nice 7m engraved in

Its taking forever putting collecting pieces putting this motor together but it will be worth it. More updates as soon as my new set of pistons get here.
