    mk2 p-type front seats

finally got around to finishing what i started here http://www.celicasupra.com/forums/showthread.php?53543
mostly because i was waiting for a friend to finish up some patch work on the front seats. so, here are a few pics of the front seats installed.

one thing i did do while swapping these is to trim the outside rear mount on both seats and use a die grinder to elongate the holes so the seats could shift out a tad. however, as can be seen in the last pic the drivers seat is still a bit close to the center console. i'm thinking about taking the console out and seeing if i can shift it's mount towards the passenger seat. anybody have any other suggestions on how to fix this?

also, any part from the old seats is up for grabs for a week or so, the seat covers and foam are pretty much shot but the metal parts and plastic parts are in pretty good shape. color is black on the plastic parts. the foam in the passenger headrest is still pliable so that may be a candidate for recovering, the drivers side one is sort of pliable but starting to dry, not flaking yet.

I'd like to have the seat belt brackets that you can see in the last picture with two small
screws that secure it the belt clip to the side seat frame

last call for any parts off the old seats before they go in the trash this weekend. the seat belt guides are on their way to MikeO, anything else is available for pretty much just shipping and a couple of bucks for my time.

You might be able to sale the frames on here since the gears are bad to strip out. Someone might need them.

if someone wanted the frames i'd be happy to strip off the the covers and foam and ship them out. the trouble is i really don't have a place to store anything at the moment other than my shed, and the shed is where i need to put my mk1 for it's restoration. just having the seats in there is delaying that work. so, seats will be tossed this weekend. i'd love to hold onto any useful parts till someone needs them but sadly, i can't.
