    PNW 2012 Events List

This is the annual clearing house of PNW Supra events, and other meets of interest to our community. 85SupraFan started this a few years back and I'm continuing it.

The big NEW things this year in the PNW Auto World are:
    - The Ridge Motorsports Track in Shelton WA - the PNW now has a track equal to Laguna Seca. Really. The drag strip is forecast to open in June. Yes, you haven't heard about it, but you will.
    - LeMay - America's Car Museum in Tacoma WA - June 2

    Calendar:
Sat May 12 Centralia Meet & Greet

July 13-15 PNW Supra Nationals - Seattle area

Aug 8-12 - Run of the Ogopogo (Vernon, BC) . Celica and Celica Supra in Okanogan I need to do this some year, I can now spell it.

Sat Aug 25 LeMay Open House and my BBQ (my BBQ starting at ~5PM after the LeMay Open House)

xx October? SILV - Supras Invade Las Vegas. KeithH (Portland) is bowing out

    Other Events of Interest:

Sat June 2 - Grand Opening of LeMay - America's Car Museum (Tacoma) - the old museum in Parkland/Spanaway is NOT closing, not being replaced. 2 museums now.

21-22 July 24 Hours of Lemons - Ridge in Shelton
28-29 July SCCA @ The Ridge

Sep 1 PSTOC at Griots (Tacoma)

First Saturday of each month - Caffeine and Gasoline @ Griots Garage in Tacoma 8AM on Saturday.

The ridge has put some HPDE track days on its schedule. Although spendy, they are actually during good Pac NW weather windows, unlike our traditional near winter open track days. I am sorely tempted...It looks like such a killer venue, what an oppurtunity.

You know, Oregon is in the PacNW, having an event or 2 down here wouldn't hurt.
    1983 P-type auto two-tone red/black "Alouqua" 11/25/11 R.I.P. Stolen, totaled, irreplaceable.
    1984 P-type auto white "Artemis" 11/29/11- 6m Power.

OTOC is still having meets. There used to be a LOT more Portland Supra meets. Seems like its a lot harder to get people to show nowadays.

Feel free to step up to the plate and organize something Last Portland Supra Nationals was 4 years ago (Mark Sherman/ra24man organized). Brutally hot show and shine (100F +). It rotates Portland, Seattle, Vancouver BC (but BC did it 2 times in a row 10-11 partially because no one stood up to organize in Portland - and because BC 2010 was such a blast).

The Centralia Meet exists to be halfway between Portland and Seattle. I don't think there has ever been anything south of the Portland Metro, but I'd probably show for something in Eugene (but probably not Medford/Ashland).

I'll probably add a mention of the PSTOC and OTOC regular events to the first post. If you know of any OR events shoot me a PM and I'll add it.

I plan on going to the ceremonies, but will pass on actually going inside - will wait until later in the week without the crowds. FYI, MT Rainier Scenic Railroad is running ~ 40 minute steam engine trips from Freighthouse Square (across the street from the museum) for $10 if you're into trains (I'll pass). But first I'll probably go to Caffeine and Gasoline at Griots at ~8AM (first Sat of the month).

As a reminder, this does NOT replace the LeMay Family Collection in Parkland, 10 miles to the south. Two great car museums.
