7mgte r154 swap drive shaft length?
im doing a 7mgte swap with a r154. everything is bolted up i just need my front part of the drive shaft made. i know im suppose to use the yoke of the mk3 drive shaft and put it on the mk2 drive shaft. i just dont know the length. i did a rough measurement last night with a tape measure from the output shaft to the front part of the rear section of the drive shaft and i came up with 50 inches but im not too sure if im measuring it right and if thats accurate at all. i made sure the rear drive shaft was in its installed position and tried to make the tape measure as straight as possible. i would like to compare my measurements with anyone else that has done this swap. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

im selling the front half of a driveshaft right now that will go into an R154 and bolt up to the stock MK2 rear driveshaft...let me know what length u need for the front half and i will measure mine, maybe it will work.
It fits a R154 bolted to a JZ motor perfectly, but i dont know if it will fit an R154 bolted to a 7m, But we can check measurements to see if it does.
LMK if youre interested and I will see what i can do.
edit: heres a linky

i have talked to literally Dozens of people who have "Fudged" this because they went by "Online measurements" you cant know whats exactly right because every cut is different. even if the person giving you the specs was right and did a good job, you should measure it yourself. if you take a measurement from online how will you know if you cut your yoke off in exactly the same spot? even if you have a really good bench mark for where to make the cut, the width of the saw blade becomes a factor.
i think the people on this forum will be able to get you really really close. if you want it right though i would mock it all up and measure it yourself!
keep us posted on your measurements and how it turns out!The Supra is gone... What a fun project!
