What gear oil should be used in rear end?
I tried searching for this one but couldn't find anything on it; what type of gear oil should be used in the rear end of an 85 Supra P-Type? Just want to make sure I get the correct oil.

its been a while, but I recall using 90 weight.... BUT the big green book also mentioned using a friction modifier.
my local Toyota parts mgr knew what I was seeking and sent me to a Ford dealer to buy the additive.
does it make a difference? i dunno, but i followed the manual directions and knock wood, alls been fineGreg

Thanks everyone. I used Valvoline Full Synthetic (for use with LSD).

Motorcraft Gear lube
One one site a performance specialist recommended, using the Motor Craft lube and using the Ford additive,, He says it is a great combo and works well with the LSD, I have found like wise results. Oddly even at my Ford dealer the qts of lube were as cheap as 40wt oil I brought that day at Auto Palace.
Amsoil 75/90 Severe Gear is a great product and they say you don't need the additive for the LSDs.
