Hi John, it would nice to be able to preserve one in such fine condition, they are disapearing.
Should become more valuable as time goes on, hope you enjoy it for a long time.

Howdy all and thanks for the friendly replies

I'm located in South Australia and during the 80's the pinnacle coupes for me were the Mitsubishi Starion as it had a turbo and used to win production car racing during that time as well as the Mazda rx7 turbos that looked like a 944 Porche.
Here's some images of my new (old) girl...

Another Aus MA61 owner
Hey John, welcome, I am sure you will get all the inspiration you need between this site and the Toymods site. I have a pretty much stock 61 which I have fitted a 1UZFE to. Currently updating suspension and looking for good stock parts but have to say that good OEM stuff is also getting very hard for our babies so if any of you guys out there have any good OEM or other stock supplies or suppliers out there that you are prepared to share, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!! Cheers everyone and again, welcome John .... Rich QLD.
[Hi QUOTE=sup083;771832]Howdy all,
I'm from Australia and am a very big fan of 80s sports cars and in particular those with a wedge shape that also have a digital dash.
I was born in 1970 and accordingly I was aged 10 to 20 through the 1980s (yeah I owned a pair of happy pants and had a flat top hair doo like Vanilla Ice). Accordingly as a young teen way back then, I have very fond memories of the sports cars I lusted during that time which included the Mk2 Supra, Mitsubishi Starion, 300Zx & Subaru XT
I own 2 Subaru XT Turbos (known as a Vortex downunder) which I love dearly as nothing beats that flat 4 sound, but have become very disheartened with the lack of spare and after market parts. I've been chasing some parts for 3 years now with no joy.
Last week I saw a one owner 83 Mk2 Supra with 92,000Km on the clock in stellar condition in my neck of woods and just had to have it.
It's white with a blue interior as is completely stock apart from a 90s Alpine tape player.
I'm currently unsure whether to keep it stock or to lower it and put on some nice wheels (I'm a big fan of the old skool wanatabes). Time will tell I guess and looks like there's plenty of inspiration on this forum.
I'm hoping I can find out more about these awesome cars on this forum and hopefully contribute something of value myself!
Cheers with Beers
