Help on the way? 2jzge start-up head aches

So Ive been working on Getting my 2jzge running. My first problems came into play when I kept getting distributor codes. Fixed them they went away (bad connector) then I had air intake codes fixed them. Now I just have a fuel ECM code which I should be ok with from what I've read.

I wired in a 30amp relay to the fuel pump. It turns on and hums and turns off Just fine. I also installed a new fuel filter.

This seems silly to even be asking since its a pretty simple system to deal with.

My problem now is that I have no fuel at the rail at all. I removed the regulator and still nothing. Which is funny because when I first tried to start it before I had my pump wired up it would run then stall. And had fuel at the rail. I added about 2 gallons of gas today just to be sure it had some in the tank. (gauge has been wacky also). I've double checked my wiring a few times and it seems to be right one from following lee's guide. I haven't checked for injector pulse via noide light. But I do get power to them when using my test light with the key on.

Opened up the ECU and nothing looks burnt on either side.

Use a Lil starting fluid in the intake and it start right up.

So yea I dunno What it could be. Any help would be greatly appricated.

    Thanks
    -Matt

I'm curious, how did you wire in fuel pump, also what code are you getting?

I wired the fuel pump like this:

Blue but connect is the power. (Right side)

Red - is coming from the battery with a inline fuse. To 30
White - runs to my switch
87 - goes straight to the pump.
86 - green goes to the switch also
85 - black goes to a clean ground

And the code is code 78

Was this to make it "accident safe"? Also you said you tried jumpering the connector for fuel pump and it would die out when it did start up? There is obviously something going on with the wiring for it to throw the code, just trying to fully understand what it is that you did.

Before I wired in the fuel pump with the relay I had some sort of pressure in the lines because I noticed a small leak at the rail. Replaced the washers and it stopped. I dunno where this pressure came from because I never heard the pump run. Unless it was super quite. Now with it looked up I can hear the pump but no pressure. I opened up the filter line and with hose and bucket I turned the pump on. No fuel at all.

The relay wiring wouldn't make it accident safe because it would just keep running the way I have it.

Go out, jumper the pump on.

    Does the pump run?
    Do you have fuel pressure?
    The correct amount?

Billy- I did end up jumping it. bklynsupraman helped me by pointing out which connector to jump. I was under the impression I was looking for a round connector. At that point it started to come alive. But my battery is also Pretty beat at this point point so time for a new one.

Edgar- My friend and I dropped the tank tonight and installed the mkiv pump. I also have the fuel pump ecu gunna try to figure out how to install that once its running.
