ok its a jdm 2jzgte i know its not a boost problem because i drove the car for a month before i put the piping and inter cooler in. it is so random when it does do it it just keep doing it back and forth with in seconds of running fine the hiccups and it does it more when cruising than anything. i have tried when it was doing it to get on it and it seems to stop but its hard to tell because it will do it for a few mins then stop then a few mins later it starts back. the few times at idle that it has died it will crank right back up. i really wish i could tell you guys more than what i have i know its hard to tell someone the problem vs just driving the car.i can tell you that it has something to do with air temp tuesday when i left work it was over 90 air temp did not make it out of the parking lot and it started do it the water temp was 160. the normal temp after warm up is around 200. yesterday when i left work it had just rained and the air temp was below 90 and it ran fine the hole 20 min drive home

First and foremost, it's time to pull codes from the ECU.

...if codes, it will likely indicate a sensor issue if seen (TPS or MAP) or associated systems (misfire codes for bad coil/ignitor).

If no codes, you may have a power/ground issue to the ECU itself.

i tried to pull codes i dont know if i did it right or not but no codes came up. you do pull codes from jumping te1 with e1? the thing that gets me is it only does it when the air temp is above 90 thats the thing i do not understand

If no codes come up, you should get a steady flashing of the check-engine light.

    ...is that the case?

so while checking codes the light stayed solid? that shouldnt happen. either you have a bad connection on the diagnostics port for the 2 pins, the wiring for them is messed up somewhere, or its a faulty ecu. im leaning more toward poor connection at the port. i know if i dont use a paper clip shoved all the way down in the ports on my gs300, the engine light never flashes. that grease crap they put in there blocks the connection as it is non conductive.

if the iwres to that plug got cut, thats not good at all. that engine light helps a HUGE amount when diagnosing stuff like this. check those wires out and get them fixed asap and then youll likely get the flashing engine codes you need to resolve this.

ok i just open up the wire harness for the plug and the te1 (blue white) was cut so if you would let me know where it runs to because if i remember correctly that ran to the body harness plug and i cut that plug off when i did the wire harness.

te1 would go to the ecu, not the body harness plug. the other side of the blue/white wire isnt there?
